Nestled in the suburbs of Boston, this family home was ready for a thoughtful refresh and a new living space designed for quiet evenings together. As an Interior design studio, we focused on creating a home that felt more connected, functional, and reflective of the way the family lives.
One of the clients’ biggest challenges was the lack of clear sightlines between rooms, making the home feel disconnected. Although built in the 1980s, the home had a distinctly modern architectural foundation. We used that existing character as inspiration, thoughtfully updating the interiors while preserving and elevating the home’s original architecture.
At the heart of the design was the idea of creating an oasis at home—a calm, comfortable retreat from the pace of everyday life. Through thoughtful space planning, improved sightlines, warm materials, layered textures, and intentional gathering spaces, we created a cohesive modern home design that feels both elevated and inviting.
The result is a warm, sophisticated residential interior design that balances modern architecture with everyday comfort—transforming the home into a personal oasis for the entire family.
